Independence

Independent advice. Clear responsibilities.

The practice prepares projects against published requirements. It does not speak for a fund, an employer or a public body.

Independence

Check independence before agreeing the work.

What independence means here

Climate Readiness Advisory helps clients prepare projects and funding documents. Decisions on access, accreditation, endorsement and approval remain with the responsible institutions.

References to funds, banks, governments, international organizations or employers do not imply affiliation, endorsement or authority to act for them.

What the practice does not do

  • Promise approval, or link a fee to a funding decision or a percentage of an award.
  • Represent a fund or sell access to decision-makers.
  • Certify eligibility, accreditation or conformity.
  • Create evidence that does not exist or conceal material project risks.
  • Bypass an accredited or implementing entity that must lead.

Conflicts and personal capacity

Work is carried out in a personal and independent capacity. Publications, training and advisory work do not express the view of any institution.

  • Before accepting a mandate, the practice must check the client, country, fund, entity, topic, any non-public knowledge and proximity to a decision. Please name the organisations involved in the initial discussion; confidential documents are not needed for that first check.
  • Work that creates an actual or perceived conflict with official duties, procurement, funding decisions or confidential matters is declined.
  • No institutional name, emblem, email, title, premises, non-public information or relationship is used in marketing or client delivery.
  • Time, devices, files, invoicing and communications are kept separate from any employment systems.
