How the courses work
The learning offer follows the work of preparing a project: understand the financing system, define the climate problem, compare options and build a coherent proposal. Each planned course would combine short explanations, applied exercises and an assessment. Course pages state the level, estimated study time and prerequisites; sample lessons and workbooks are available now.

Climate Finance Foundations
- Explain the climate finance architecture and the role of key public funds.
- Distinguish grant, debt, equity, guarantee, results-based and carbon-finance logic.
- Match a project need to a shortlist of funding options without treating the result as eligibility approval.
- Read a fund page critically using source date, access path and instrument fields.
Designing Climate Projects for Funding
- Define a climate problem and the likely situation without the project.
- Build a theory of change and results chain.
- Link financial structure to barriers and cash flows.
- Test implementation, safeguards and monitoring readiness.
Green Climate Fund Project Preparation
- Explain accredited-entity and country roles.
- Map evidence to the six investment criteria.
- Select a preparation route using current official material.
- Build a proposal and annex work plan.
Adaptation Fund Proposal Development
- Explain direct and other access routes.
- Build a concrete adaptation case.
- Address safeguards, gender, participation and results.
- Use current proposal and operational materials.
Reviewing Climate Project Readiness
- Run a structured readiness review.
- Distinguish issues that prevent submission from gaps that can be resolved during preparation.
- Write an evidence-based review without inventing certainty.
- Present a prioritised action plan to the project team.
Climate Finance in ASEAN and Asia-Pacific
- Map regional and national institutions without treating ASEAN as a single funding route.
- Assess cross-border, country and subnational project contexts.
- Connect national plans to fund access and project design.
- Treat language, local institutions and political economy as project variables.
